Juan Rivera case update

Prosecutors decline to appeal the judge’s order releasing Mr. Rivera.  Story here.

Kudos, again, to the folks in the Center on Wrongful Convictions for this meaningful pursuit of justice.

UPDATE:  Here is a note from Terri Mascherin, an alum whose work on this case, along with others at Jenner & Block in Chicago, was critical to the outcome: 

“Juan was released a little after 4 p.m. today after 19 years in prison.  Thank heavens for Northwestern and the Center on Wrongful Convictions.”
