Association of American Law Schools Annual Meeting

by dan rodriguez

Heading out to Washington DC to attend the AALS annual meeting.  AALS, on whose executive committee I have been proud to serve for the past three years, is the principal membership group for American law schools.  It coordinates the faculty hiring process, organizes a variety of specialty sub-groups of interested law profs, and convenes this large annual meeting.  It has increasingly been serving the added, critical role of articulating and defending the core values of effective teaching, scholarship, public service, nondiscrimination, and diversity in the face of various attacks from within and outside the legal academy.

Hope to see NW alums in law teaching at the meeting.
